The Inspiration for the Keeper’s Heart Collection, by Daniella

St Tropez has always inspired me, the azure sea, deep green pines,
faded blue shutters against sun-warmed stone. There’s an ease to it where
everything feels considered without trying too hard.

But it’s the people I love to watch the most.

One Wednesday morning, arriving early to wander the market before the crowds, I found myself at the back amongst the antiques. That’s where I noticed a beautiful older lady dressed entirely in the most striking shade of blue standing at a table of old cutlery.

Around her neck hung a heavy antique gold chain with a large heart charm. It wasn’t polished or delicate but instead it had weight and texture. As she stood there, her fingers gently moved across its surface instinctively as though it had always belonged to her.

We caught eyes and smiled, a quiet recognition between women and I found myself wondering about her story. Who had given it to her? What had it witnessed? What was she holding onto in that quiet moment?

Jewellery does that. It carries love. It holds memory. It becomes part of us.

That small gesture stayed with me, the tenderness of it, the familiarity, the way something so simple could hold so much meaning without saying a word.

When I returned to the workshop, I didn’t want to recreate simply a heart on a chain. I wanted to capture that feeling of something weighty, lived-in, instinctive.

The Keeper’s Heart began there.
