Life is Worth Living
It is a song by the artist Justin Bieber. He’s probably my most favourite person in the whole world! He inspires me to go out and make something for myself through film and travel and have nothing but good times associated with his songs. He also makes me realise that anything is possible & if you put your mind to it, you can make it work.
My latest big project is working is to film a BMX video in California for a contest (which we came 2nd last year). There were 5 teams of 4 people, 3 riders and a filmer. We had to shoot a BMX video and edit it in 5 days at WoodWard Camp, ready for the premier on the Friday night. It was one of my proudest achievements and to see that trophy everyday makes me really happy and motivated to keep doing what I’m doing.
The theme tune to my life would have to be BOY - Little Numbers. It's been my favourite tune for years and nothing will ever overtake it. (Unless Bieber pulls out some more bangers on his next album.)
FAVOURITE CITY AND WHY?
My favourite city has to be Huntington Beach, CA. It's honestly my favourite place in the whole world. Id love to live there one day and make amazing memories and enjoy the amazing sunsets every night.
THREE PIECES OF ADVICE YOU’D GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF?
Three pieces of advice I would give to my younger self would be never give up, don’t take life too seriously & make sure you have a good time!
BMX is definitely my favourite sport. Its given me the best childhood growing up, some of the best friends for life & has let me travel the world doing what I love.
My hero is without a doubt, Joe Simon. He is the best filmmaker in the whole world. He's one of the coolest, nicest & funniest people I’ve ever met and ill never forget how scared I was to meet him. He's inspired me from the start with his films and does still this day, he’s the best!
BRAVEST/ SCARIEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE?
I’d say the bravest & scariest thing I’ve ever done relates back to my hero, Joe Simon. He asked me to film for a full weekend as his assistant when I was 18. It was definitely the best time of my life and I was so so nervous, i'll never forget how scared and excited I was. But I did it! It all went brilliantly and now were friends and it's just surreal that I can scroll though my contacts on my phone and see his name. I tend to annoy him with rap songs I’ve discovered or BMX tricks I’ve failed at.
The best experience I’ve ever had has to be the Joe Simon weekend, it was pretty much a childhood dream which came to life.
