Helen Fospero / 50 / Television Presenter and Journalist
Helen was born in the seaside town of Cleethorpes and is proud to have grown up in the fishing port of Grimsby in Lincolnshire. Her career began in local papers and on Fleet Street following in her father's footsteps. Her first opportunity in television came when she was recruited by Sky News as one of their first journalists.
Helen was poached by GMTV at the end of the 1990s where she worked in London and then in New York as ITV's U.S. correspondent. Helen has worked for all major UK broadcasters, has guest presented on This Morning and Watchdog, and is currently making topical films for BBC1's The One Show.
She also appears regularly on C4's Countdown. Helen is in demand as a corporate host, working for brands like Rolls-Royce. Her career is an absolute triumph and makes the town of Grimsby extremely proud.

Grandad Barker went over the top at The Somme in 1916 and was the last surviving member of The Grimsby Chums when he died aged 100. A gentle, beautiful soul. My hero. I miss him terribly.
MOST INSPIRING PERSON YOU'VE EVER MET AND WHY?
Claire Lomas, she was paralysed in a riding accident in her 20s. Since her accident, she's learned to mono ski, race motorbikes against able-bodied riders & has had two beautiful daughters. Claire tirelessly raises funds for my spinal injuries charity, nsif, & is an amazing woman.
